These test gauges conform to IEC 62368-1 clause 5.4.1.10, IEC 60884-1 clause 25.2, 25.3, figure 37, IEC 60669-1 clause 21.3 and 21.4 figure 19, etc. They are used to determine the shortest path between two conductive parts, or between a conductive part and the bounding surface of the equipment, measured along the surface of the insulation, with specifications made according to the requirements.
